Good 24" monitor with minimal input lag?

Hiya,

Im after a new monitor, and one of the most important criteria is that being a bit of a UT3 nut, it must have a reasonably low input lag. I also use it for watching DVDs, so brightnes/image quality/viewing angles must be quite good. Is there a monitor out there that fulfils my needs?

I currently have a Samsung 2232bw 22" monitor (Pebble, with Samsung panel) and Im happy with it, but its not really that good for TV/DVD viewing. Ive got my eyes on a Hyundai W240D monitor (with PVA screen) and am wondering how my monitor compares to this one.

I do like the look of the Dell 2408s, but as you say, the A00 revs have appauling input lag. Has anyone actually got a A01 revision yet?

As for the Hazro, Id jump at the chance buying one of these , but they dont seem to have HDCP support, which I think is essential for viewing Blu-ray movies?

Absolutely perfect!! Bit over my budget at £444, but im really really tempted.

Ive budgeted around £350 for a new monitor, and thats including money Id get back from selling my Samsung 22" Pebble. But looking at this monitor, my credit card is just itching to leap out of my wallet! And thats not good considering that im getting married at the end of this year!

PS- I just love the glossy screen too!

All the monitors you mention are TN monitors - ie great response times BUT poor colour rendition and poor viewing angles. Ive only ever had TN monitors, and now fancy a PVA/MVA/IPS monitor. I believe this Hazro is an IPS monitor, and if the image is anything like an Apple Cinema LCD, then Im won over.

Im going to mull over this for the next couple of hours before deciding whether I order one today.

Just took advantage of free delivery (yipee, made it to 250 posts in 3 years) and will be connecting up my new Hazro tomorrow!

Way over budget, but just look at the monitor! Sexy brushed aluminium, with an IPS screen! I suspect the missus will wake up with a scar tomorrow morning, and a new kidney up for sale on fleabay!
