good 360 deal?

Im looking at getting a 360 and have found this deal
Core system
* 2 Controllers
* 12 month gold member subscription to XBOX Live - still sealed
* Brand new unopened headset
* 5 awesome games - Oblivion, MotoGP 2006, Project Gotham Racing 3, Hitman (Blood Money), Call of Duty 2 - all with original boxes and manuals.
* 64MB memory stick
* Original box, manual, leads etc.
* + a couple of demo games.
I can pick this up for £302 this a good deal? il also be picking up the hd lead to connect it up to my 2007wfp, i wont be using it on xbox live till next september time when i move out of halls and into a student house

It's not a bad deal, not not really amazing, however, if it's the core, you wont have a HDD, which in the short term when you're not using Live, it's not a problem, but you'll need one to take the full value out of Live come the time when you start using it properly.

Are the controllers wireless or corded? I guess if it's a core system, then at least one will be corded. Note the the HDD will cost you around £60, and you can get good new deals for less than £300 which have had 2 games and 2 controllers and being premium to begin with, which would leave you still at £300, but 3 games down, but the cost of 3 second hand games would cost a similar amount you'd need to pay for a component cable and a HDD.

thats what i was thinking but i know all the guys il be moving in with and we'l have it down in the living room so il get everyone to chip in for the hdd.

There both corded, ive been looking around at every website i can think of and dont seem to be able to find and deals like the one you describe, suppose i might as well keep looking as i cant get to sleep

i managed to wangle a staff discount as i worked there 4 years ago so got mine for £225, oh and they give you PGR3 for free aswell, it isn't even advertised!

cheers for the help but you might want to remove the competitor before a don finds it [Too late - Minstadave] wouldnt want you to get a suspension on my account.

Edit: just had a check on their website and i cant find anything like that deal mentioned
