Hi.
Im considering getting a 360 if i have the money left over when i get back off Holiday, but i can only identify two games worth getting:

Oblivion (saves pratting around upgrading my PC).
PDZ (just because. :p).

Any others that people would recommend? Hidden gems prehaps?

If i cant muster a list of at least 10 games, i think i'll skip and put the money towards a WII and a shed load of launch games rarther than 1-2 games. lol.

Thanks in advance all. :)

Burnout Revenge
Test Drive Unlimited
Saints Row
Kameo
PGR3
NBA 2K7 (coming vvvv soon)
Hitman Blood Money
Splinter Cell Double Agent
Fight Night Round 3 (not my cup of tea though)
RAW Vs Smackdown 2007
DOA4
Amped 3
Table Tennis

:>

To help. I dont like beat-em-ups. I dont like driving games. I dont like sport games apart from snowboarding ones. And Hitman sucks. :p

BoomAM just get a 360 and a Wii. It's the future. They call it Wii60.

Get a 360 just for TDU and Dead Rising. It's worth it.

Pedant :o

All games listed will be out before the Wii so whats it matter?

It's not like your gonna go into a shop and actually drop 400 quid on games right?

Oh also add Amped 3 to that (snowboarding) :)

Why don't you pick a different hobby thats not gaming?!

Also if do you not like these because you've tried them (or older versions) or are you just being awkward?

condemned
kameo
call of duty 2
saints row

they should keep you going for a while if you dont like sports/driving etc

Personally: Save for the Wii then.

Well sounds like you like fps, rpg and maybe action adventure.

So...

Dead Rising, an absolute must.
Saints Row, the best GTA game since the last.
Oblivion, as you said and worth getting the 360 for alone
Enchanted Arms, new japanese rpg
Kameo, excellent action adventure
Tomb Raider: Legend, good looking next gen version and the best TR game since the 1st imo
COD2, one of these best fps experiences I've ever had (been playing since Doom 1)
Prey, old skool fps with a few new tricks, surprisingly very good with fun multiplayer
GRAW, Top notch squad based fps
Condemned, scary 1st person beat-m-up, original but not that fast paced. Worth getting to play in small doses as its pretty intense.
Chromehounds, multiplayer is very very good, if you liked mechwarrior 2 you'll love it.

Also there are some amazing titles coming our way: Lost Planet, Gears of War, Fable 2, Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, Bioshock (sequel to System Shock 2), Mass Effect (next Bioware game and looks amazng), Halo 3. Just to name a few.

Why? Multiplayer is great fun. worst 360 title is crap sports games and Dynasty Warriors.

Why corrected it to PDZ?

Z = Zero = 0?

And - i thought multiplayer was a bit of the quiet side, most servers were pretty silent and boring. The singleplayer wasnt very strong in terms of story either

The only driving games ive liked is Mario Kart & Rallisport Challenge.

Dont throw your dolly out because i dont like 90% of the games you recommended.
There are more genrès of games than the ones you listed. I know its hard to belive, but its true.
Action. FPS. RTS. RPG. Sim. Platform. ect;
Having gaming as a 'hobbie' doesnt requisite me to like driving/sports games as a requisit of me calling it a 'hobbie'. And im sure i wanted, could point the same comment at you for genrès you dont like. But i dont, because everyone likes and hates different genrès of games.

And explain to me why i would be awkward about a game recomendation?

Its kinda the reason why ive generally stuck with Nintendos consoles really, the fact that the other consoles on the market has the majority of its games in genrè's that i dont even like.

So upto now, we have:
Oblivion.
PDZ.
Kameo.
Amped3.

Hope you dont end up limiting yourself to just those, a very average list of games IMO. Make sure you download every demo you can though from marketplace and at least try as many 360 games as possible.

I second these, all well worth looking into.

How did you get to that rather short list from the games people have suggested. Fair enough you dont like Beat Em Ups or Driving games, but you seem to have dismissed.

Dead Rising
Saints Row
Tomb Raider : Legend
Prey
COD2
GRAW
Condemned
Enchanted Arms
Table Tennis

and a fair few other rather excellent games that arent either Beat Em Ups or Racing Games.

I'd also add Geometry Wars and Battle for Middle Earth II to the list.

To be honest i think you'd probably be better placed either saving your money or upgrading your PC if you dont like the current selection of 360 games.
