Good all in one micro systems???

Basically I am well outta the loop with hifi and tv stuffs... I've got a basic seperates setup at the mo, Marantz SR4400, Sony CDP-XE330 CD player, linked to PC and some Monitor Audio Bronze B2's and half decent cable all round. Also it's used for DJ'ing but I'm selling my decks and CDJ's.

Sounds lovely for what it is... but the problem is a kinda change of circumstances and new neighbours so I can't really have a big loud stereo any more.. it's a little too bassy for these thin walls lol. It's not that bassy anyway but I don't wanna pee people off and I do wanna save some space so been thinking of selling and getting a tidy micro system which will do everything from one small box and also scale my PC down into a small cube style case.

- I want if possible for it to play DVD's (and divx etc maybe?) as I wanna get a new flat screen which can alternate for tv/monitor etc.

- Possibly with a tape deck as I've got some old tapes I'd enjoy listening to after not bothering for years.

- A line in socket for PC to be connected up for mp3 collection etc.

- A half decent FM tuner

Good sound quality is mega important.. dont expect miracles but nothing terrible.

Anything out there for a few hundred quid guys? Cheers

One box solutions go like this....

Denon DM30-31 or what ever number they are up to now... add a DVD player for pictures.

Arcam Solo..... Linn Classik ....

Linn Classik Movie.........


The first is within budget, the rest blow it big time..
OR just turn down the stereo you have !!!!

cheers i do remember denon stuff being apparently very capable with their micro systems will have a nosey @ the usual shops see what i can find.

i'd keep my monitor audios but they're a bit big and bulky for my 3x2.5m room so will downscale to some proper bookshelf speakers also.

been having a quick scout, doubt i'll get one with a tape deck but dab would be cool as most have that

what are "pure" systems like?
