...for a DSLR newbie;)

I currently have a 350D with the 18-55 kit lens and a 70-300DG Sigma lens.

Looking for a good little all rounder lens.

Don't want to spend too much just yet, so up to around £150 would be the limit.

Would I be best to grab a Canon EF 50mm F1.8 for around £65 and just add that to what I already have, or what would you recommend?

Was also looking at the Canon 55-250 IS, even though it's a little outside my budget, and also a Canon 28-105, but really not too sure what to do.

Will be mostly taking pics of my kids, but also would like to be able to do some landscape shots etc.

Thanks a lot for amy advice, I am a total novice at this and would appreciate the help from those in the know. :)

The sigma 17-70mm is quite an all rounder for about £200.

With the 18-55mm do you feel limited by it's reach or closeness at all, if so, which more?

its over your pice range but i think if u can spend the extra cash you must go for the tamron 18-250 best all rounder ever lol well i got it the other week and it has just about lived on my cam since then and i have taken all diffrent shots with it and am very very happy and think its worth the money
