Good American Cuisine in the Midlands

I've been searching for a bit, but most seem to be overpriced and mediocre.

I would really like to find a nice place that does a good burger and ribs. not too many miles from Coventry.

There are the Buddies Diners but its average at best and nearest one is Daventry:

The Plough in Shirley does some fantastic ribs - it's a Beefeater chain but I've been to a few different ones, and some other 'American' style places that didn't even come anywhere near the Plough ones!

There's also Crust in Shirley which do a lot of really good American/Italian style food, I'm a big fan of their pulled pork, and they do various Man v Food style challenges if that floats your boat. I am tempted by the 3ft hot dog

If you do go to Crust, try the Piggie Smalls burger - it's delicious. And a Peanut Butter shake, stuff of legends.
