Well I will say that i like my PC at the moment i just want a little more power.

Every attempt of Overclocking i have done has failed Prime on the first run.

I Don't even know if its stable on four cores so will need help on that.

My motherboard is a MA-GA785GMT-UD2H. (Has that got good Overclocking Options I Don't Know)

Some of you might be thinking *OMG NOOB Just up the Multi* but stupidly I didnt buy the Black edition, so super help is needed.

I have The Titan Fenrir EVO ( MX3 ) cooped up inside a Fractal Design R2 "i might add is a fantastically quiet case :) i love it "

Idle Temps while writing this : 27.C

Lets Run Prime : Didn't even hit 38.C. Good or bad ??? Headroom ?

As you can quite easily tell Im a Complete *Noob* at this and i think i have the equipment for it i just Dont know how :)

Can some kind soul give me a few tips or even better some proper step by step help

Thanks

Up the vcore to 1.5v drop the memory divider so its running at stock or below and set the timings maually it'll tell you what they should be, Northbridge frequency and ht link to 1.8ghz (8x) and fsb to 250 and try that with prime

i done what you said frozen nova. running at 3875 and all seems to be well,

primes staying without errors and cpu not going over 45 .C

any further ?

Thanks.

i would like to hit 4 ghz

I would now advise upping your multiplyer to [16x] rather than stock [15.5x] then running linx/ibt for half and hour to an hour, if that runs fine drop your voltage a notch and repeat ibt/linx.

Continue this cycle until you start getting unstability in the form of errors or BSODs up it a notch and run prime95 for 8 hours or so. If prime errors then up the voltage and repeat.

Hope that helps

This is what i have Atm anything wrong with that ?

Thats perfectly fine, let it prime for half an hour or so then try with the vcore a notch lower.

I had mine set at 1.45 initially and have managed to whittle it down to 1.14125vcore
