Any one stopped in a B&B in or very near LEEDS that is £30-£40 a night with Wifi that doesnt have noisey water pipes in it or on the corner of the nutters must play loud music all night area?

Looking around for somewhere other than where i am now if possable but not wanting to move to a place that wants £80+ a night... not for a B&B lol...

So has anyone got anywhere they can recomend for a long term stay - 4-5 months worth in or around leeds before i go around the google circle again!

Get a flat

Or a house share.

There's plenty of people around that would provide board and lodgings for that kind of cash.

Tried looking for one, but after all the bills, rent, Ctax and rates its crazy money. Over £190 a week. then food ect....

Signed up on flatmates and other type web sites and been to see a few, but the bills they dont mention on the add's mount up very qucikly and you end up asking the same things over an email and they soon get the msg you know what your asking and never get back to you.

Example, northwest leeds - house, with a bedroom in it, wifie and parking, near a bus lane, £110 a week. Went to have a look, sure its £110 a week, then he adds, thats without bills and ill tell the council your here so you ahve to pay your own Ctax, and theWifi is another £8 a day and there is no TV arial in the room and you need to bring your own bedding and towels and the parking is ok, as long as you park your car aorund the other sid eof the street as i have 2 cars on the drive already...... when do you want to move in LOL!!!!... i laughed all the way back to the car..

Maybe 20-30 i have seen have been like this. Just want to pay X for 4 nights a week with all bills in... but i think its too much to ask.

Im in a B&B now with free wifi, the only issue i have is the fact everyt ime someone runs a tap, its rattles all the pipes and is bloody loud, ok when we all go to bed before 12, but when some students come in at 1am.... its not a happy bunch of people in the B&B. Also the breakfast is utter rubbish, 3 spoons of beans, 1 slice of bacon and 2 scoops of nuked eggs.... oo and 27 rounds of toast! While the B&B is ok, the walls are a little thin for me, can hear what the next room is watching on TV at times and the rattling of pipes is a killer at times...

But its cheap and only 1 mile from work so....... i put up with it now and again and it has free parking for 4 cars with 16 rooms in the B&B lol... mad.

indeed, best option, OK you don't want to live with students, you could but I would advise against it

But I'm sure you could find some house sharing sort of thing

Or rent a flat, £600 a month out of your price range?

What about trying some of the hotel chains (travellodge, premier travel inn) and see if they can do you a deal based on 4 nigths stay per week for 4 months, they may be able to do something for £40'ish per night. ( Travel Lodge, Vicar Lane, Leeds. Non Smoking Double En Suite. Price Per Room Per Night : £39.00) and you can but a months WiFi for £30. The IBIS in leeds is also £42 per night if you get the right deal not sure about Wifi though.

Etap - o god no, not again... tried there the 2nd week it opened as its about 10 min walk from work... no parking... who in the right mind designs a hotel/place to stay, in the CENTRE of a CITY with no parking..... add another 12 quid a night to your bill, o and breakfast, add another 5 pound a night.. see how fast it adds up! and now of the hotels i have spoken too will go lower than it says on the web site no matter how long im stayaing for.. i guess they all want the 60-100 a night people, cant blame them, they are in it to make cash after all..

600 a month if everything was all in, maybe but i find, all the time in leeds, that the agent letting the place lets you think its 600, then mentions just as your thinking about signing that the carparking is extra, it doesnt include any bills and all the furniture in the show flat isnt going to be in yours.... i only want it for 5-6 months at the most..

I will endavour to keep looking, or next time buyu a camper van and sleep on the works carpark! lol..

Cheers for the ideas.

You are telling me that you can't find any flat share in Leeds that charges less than £850 per month????

I charge my tenant £415 per month.

For that he gets a double room and a bathroom to himself, 24meg broadband with wifi and all of the bills inclusive. Granted he took the **** a bit with the electric, but that's sorted now. I live 20 minutes from the centre of Bristol.

May be to do with the areas. Have you thought about Wakefield, i used to live there and it's only a 10-15 minute commute in the morning to Leeds on the train (about £50 per month for Metro card), couple of park and ride train stations too. I used to pay about £350 inc bills for a two up, two down terraced house share.

I can find flats and shared houses but all of them so far are without either furnishings, wifi, parking or all 3. Then you get the ones that advertise the price, but thats jst rent, not all bills, or you get to the house and the others sharing it are pigs, mess everywhere. Last one i looked at, the bloke said there is no hoover, as we are men and men dont clean up...... Hmmmmm.... i left..

I guess the areas in leeds make a diff too, some areas are riot zones and those are the cheap places, others are full of students and no peace at all. But i will get somewhere...

Cheers for the links.

Good point gumbald. Guess i just want a whole package, maybe im asking for too much lol..

It seems near leeds anyhow, that the closer you get to the centre the worse rooms you get for higher costs. The further out you go you get better rooms and a cheaper price but the areas are a tad rough.... still, going to try the oak villa, see what price i can get for 5 month stay...
