good boilers

Depends what features you want as well.
More than happy with my Ideal Vogue has some features that put it above the likes of WB and Valiant.
Only other boiler I would consider is Atag very reliable but wouldn't do Opentherm.

Is viessmann alright?

The viessmann is supposed to be good but expensive if something goes wrong, they're cheap to buy to get a good market share.

I went for a classic Worcester combi to replace the 40 year old one in my house in the end, got a decent price plus a quick install and didn't fancy the extra work to find someone to fit the viessmann

Ideal are an excellent choice nowadays, certainly up there with Vaillant and WB. Viessman are good but not as good as the other 3.

I'm going to look at getting a Viessmann Vitodens 111-W soon for our house (4 bed, 3 bathroom). It's a combi with a small hot water tank inbuilt (about 40L iirc) so you get the benefits of a combi and avoid the drawbacks of not being able to shower and bath at the same time.

I've yet to find something similar from any of the other big brands that's recommended as highly as the 111-W. Cost is about £1600-£1800 for the unit itself.

I have the Viess

You wont be disappointed, I have the same boiler and its superb.

We have a Valiant Eco at the moment been fantastic and no issues. We are moving soon and will want to chance the boiler in the new house, would stick with Valiant or Worcester. The new Worcester boilers actually look half decent.

We have had Vaillant boilers at mine/ my aunts/ my parents for 10 years +

They have been reliable and when something does go wrong, they are easy to repair.

If I had the choice I would always go for them again ( I know they are more expensive than some of the competitors).

Also look into the warranty- some of them only apply if you are paying + documented yearly servicing.
