Ive recently bought a couple of PSCS2 books, "Martin Evenings- PSCS2 for Photographers" and "Scott Kelby- PSCS2 for Digital Photographers"

So far ive read the first 3 sections of Kelbys book and ive learnt more about Adobe Bridge than I could have imagined...

I will get thru these books in a couple of weeks reading them daily at work and then trying the learnt bits out when I get home. I would like some more general photography books, explaining compositions and other such things... can anyone recommend any good books that will help me.

Composition is subjective - there is no right or wrong way to set up a shot, so there aren't many/any books that cover that sort of thing.
Apart from the 'Rule of Thirds there isn't much else to go on.

Understanding Exposure by Bryan Peterson is a good book, obviously mostly on exposure. It might be a little below you, I'm not sure.

There's a follow up "Learning to Think Creatively" which is more about composition, it's maybe not as good a book as Understanding Exposure but there are some good ideas / tips.
