I'll admit i like my pepsi max and rc cola, if not a bit too much.

I've tried tesco's and it's not bad, but it's certainly no replacement.

So have any of you found a good cheap diet alternative?

Barrs Cola is my cola of choice. Makes the finest rum & coke out there.

Not sure if they do a diet version though...

I actually rather like the ASDA own brand diet one. Not the super cheapo white label 28p for 2 Litre one, the one thats silver label and is 48p per 2 Litre, bonus is that its on offer for 3 for a quid rather often. Can't beat 6 litre for a quid.

I prefer it to regular Coca-Cola.

Obviously, probably not everyones cup of tea. It has a different aftertaste I prefer. YMMV.

Tesco's is fine, and at 52p for 2 litres it's a bargain. Co-op's is acceptable too, but is about 10-12p more expensive than Tesco.

Do you still get virgin cola? That stuff was awful.

Notice the price a few weeks ago? IT went up from 52p upto 78p in a matter of 8 weeks. The nall of a sudden it back down. I think its because they were trying to push their arsey cola. Whcih aint great tbh!

I noticed that, and also I notice these price shifts on a lot of other Tesco own-brand products too. Glad the cola came back down.

I seem to be able to tell the difference a lot more after a couple of days in the fridge. Proper coke gets flatter, but retains it's richness, whereas cheaper colas go flat and taste more watery.

Possibly just me, but definately my own fault for not drinking it quick enough. :D
