Good camera for use in nightclubs?

On the prowl for a good digital camera that will take good pictures in a club, and also take some good quality video footage with sound (if possible that doesn't distort). Also a reasonable price, less than £100?
I'm not much of a camera guru so don't know much about the settings etc available just looking for a pretty good one to take some pics and some vids with sound!

Any suggestions!
 
less than £100? Very unlikely.
Look for cameras that offer a high iso, if u want shots in the dark without flash, the sony range are good for video.
 
I got a Fujifilm F20 for £80 a few months ago, and am pretty pleased with it's performance.

Got it as something to take out drinking with mates, and it's great for that. The auto mode takes care of everything and does a pretty god job. The videos seem pretty good to me too, but the video files are pretty large - a 2 gig card will hold about half an hour of footage.

It has quite a lot of good reviews as well.
ISO 2000 is pretty grainy really but thats to be expected as it's a compact, but it gets the job done :)
 
The tilllate people that take the pictures usually have a d-SLR for their piccys. Id say a f31fd, but im biased. Any pocketable camera will be fine, as your not really going to be composing your shots with a beer in the other hand right? :p

I've not got any from when I have been out on this computer unfortunately. I do have a few pictures in low lighting, though not in nightclubs.

Here's one taken at ISO 1600 in my front room, with no flash:

It has just been resized, no noise removal, and whilst the noise is noticeable, I don't think its too bad for a compact camera.

Here is another picture, this time with the flash on and at ISO 800:

However if you have a look on flickr, you can view all pictures taken with an F20, you can search for photos with keywords, eg: nightclub, nightlife, clubbing, etc.

I'd never take a proper camera clubbing - always take disposable cameras with me. That way you don't have to worry about it getting broken or getting stolen.
 
the z5fd is similar inside to the f31fd, but slimmer. good high isio performence.
 
Nikon coolpix L3/4.

Cost me £60 quid iirc with cashback etc.

I have taken it out many times and always get some good pics :)
