also any more import ideas. i fancy a scooby wagon for the boxer rumble :p

yup they seem to think imports should cost a lot more than UK cars, like a lot of Jap import places.
Best to look on Autotrader still I reckon.

woah, they seem fairly pricey :(

You're not wrong, they've sold a bog standard 1994 GTS turbo for £8k! Consdidering that mine's the higher spec GT with proper mods I think I should put the price up

thanks ElRazur :) what kinda process was involved?

When I imported my first grey MR2 it was a nightmare! Took almost 6 months in total to get it from the auction to my door and after all that it was a total dog, nothing like the auction grading.

It might cost more but it's a hell of a lot less hassle just buying one that's already been imported.

i didnt mean to be rude monkey, just rip off as in very expensive rather than owt dodgy :)

well, it was pretty straight forward, i paid £450 for the car itself and another 1200 or so covers, freight, inland delivery, shipping, insurance, registration, tax, clearing agent fee, preparation mot, servicing, etc. All in all less than £1800, for 1995 GR with 28k geniune miles.

The only disadvantage i guess is just the waiting time, having said that you wont wait more than 3months depending on the ship's schedule and loading times etc. Overall i belive it is worth it and i will do it again.

PS
You can try bonsai cars too, they are supposed to be good.

oh :( theres a few wagons on ebay at the moment for a canny price :)

What sort of price are you looking for? Only ask becuase a lad on scoobynet recently bought a UK 98 wagon for under 2K. Think the box needed replacing but done on a budget thats well under 1K.

Lots of cheap Imprezas already in the UK - they are cheaper than anything else at the moment (You can't sell a 98 car for £5K yet a Starlet turbo of the same year would set you back £6.5K - madness)
