Looking to buy a new case to fit a system i'm going to build. Had a look at the Zalam cases, they look pretty nifty.

Any others that can be recommended? I saw the big Lian Li case with the wheels, also looks good.

I'm on the lookout for a large case for loads of hard drives. Initially 4 drives in raid but want expansion space to add to that if I need too. Keeping them all cool is going to be one of the main things, plus as quiet as it can be is always good!

Thanks for any suggestions.

Pretty much any Lian Li, Akasa Eclipse, Antec P182, Antec 900 is popular although I really don't like it :p
Some of the silverstone cases are very nice, but expensive too.
Gigabyte cases are also pretty solid :)

ok, thanks - i'll check them all out! :D

Any cases in particular that everyone raves on about? Looks like any Lian Li case pretty much but what about the Zalman cases?

Most of the Zalman cases I've seen are very nice, but horrifically overpriced for what they are. A good 50% more than anyone would really pay for them.

I wish the silver one had been the same price, it looks great, but i really couldn't justify the extra cash over the standard p182 :( But yeh, -182 (y)

+1 for the Antec P182

I would avoid any cases that are really thin aluminium, they flex, wobble, rattle and vibrate. The P182 is 14kg of solid steel :)

recently got a lian-li a10....

very happy with it so far :)

could probably fit about 10HDD's if you wanted to lol, my single 500gbWD looks quite lonely all by itself 0.o

I believe the big lian li on wheels you are on about is the V2000... i have the v1000 and it's an awesome case, if you are lookinf for space and hdd capacity, then the v2000 is the daddy... you most definately won't be disappointed.

I'm going for the P182! :D

The P190 seems to be unnecissarily (sp) gadgety, the P182 imo looks nicer and does the same job without two PSUs!

What i don't like about these lian li's & other cases with the motherboard in own compartment is it has issues with most top rated air coolers fitting correctly & dependant on how near the cpu socket is to the edge of the board it's a massive design floor in my view they should have really thought it through better.
An example of this is the tuniq tower touching the side on the v1100+ forget the tm120 extreme.
I would love to design cases as i have some really useful ideas.
