As title really :)

I bought an artic cooling freezer 4 for my nephews machine, only to find out it isn't a P4 but an XP* :p

So can anyone recommend a good, cheapish cooler for a Socket A XP 2400+ CPU?
It doesn't need to be world shatteringly good, just better than the stock cooler and capable of keeping the system cool when it's hot outside :)

*Something I should have known, I built the thing for him :p

Akasa AK-827 Ultra Quiet Copper Base CPU Cooler (Socket A) (HS-013-AK)
£6.46 (inc VAT)

Copper base and low RPM long life fan + cheap :)

two good socket a heatsinks were the Zalman 6000Cu which is quieter and cooler then the stock heatsink by a fair way. Cheaper option would be the Glacialtech Igloo 2500 Pro, but its not as powerful cooler as the zalman, but still better then stock cooler and queter.

I just bought a gigabyte g-power for a 2500+ at 3200+. Performing very well at the moment. 55 ish degrees folding load with only a rubbish 80mm case fan and rubbish, hot psu above it. Im very happy with it, these chips run hot

Might be overkill I suppose if you're looking for something cheaper.

I`m after something similar but I have an old Dual MP2100+ machine that still comes in handy occasionally. However the Globalwin sink fans on them are noisey and I would like to reduce the decibels. I see these as viable options, what do you think? :)

Gigabyte G-Power Pro (Socket A/754/939/478/775) Cooler (GH-PDU21-MF) (HS-004-GI)

Akasa AK-827 Ultra Quiet Copper Base CPU Cooler (Socket A) (HS-013-AK)

Zalman CNPS7000B-CU Ultra-Quiet CPU Cooler with Blue LED - Retail (HS-017-ZA)

They are on a gigabyte 7dpxdw server board, the current set up has two 60mm fans, and looks like it could handle up to two 80mm possibly 92mm fans.
