I did a job with Davinci Resolve (free version) but couldn't see the option to pick my GPU for encoding under the deliver section. Is it only certain Nvidia GPUs?

EDIT: Never mind, it works for H.265 encoding but not H.264 encoding. Does it pretty fast. That's one less reason for me having this many cores on my CPU now .

The free version of Resolve doesn't support GPU rendering, and I think it didn't for playback within the program either IIRC. ( I think to encourage you to buy it ). I'm surprised the H.265 worked. When I bought the full program, the performance of Resolve as a whole ( timeline scrubbing etc ) went up by a huge amount as it was now using the GPU for everything, not just final rendering.

Read the previous posts. It was introduced to the free version since 17.4. Full changelog here: https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/uk/media/release/20211022-01

Hardware accelerated H.265 encodes on free version on Windows.

Davinci resolve I have used for about 12 months now and it does what I want it to do really well. I think I must have made 300ish videos with it now and rarely have any issues. The issues I have are more my making too when I miss understand how to do something complicated.
