I'm thinking of buying a PC gaming controller. Now Ive tried using my PS3 pad but it don't seem to work on Vista 64bit. Ive looked around on Google and I'm not keen on doing the driver signature disable thing. I'm thinking of getting a wired Xbox pad but was wondering if anyone has any good alternatives, that work with Vista 64bit. I want it for games like Prototype and maybe a couple of racing games.

Thanks.

I reckon you should get the xbox360 wireless controller and controller dongle and you can play on your PC for games like prototype with the comfort of no wires.

It works perfectly the same experience has if playing on the 360 also works perfecty with most games especially all new ones.

I use my wired Xbox 360 controller when playing racing games on the PC. Easy as anything to setup, just download the drivers from microsofts website and plug in :) Easy!

Thanks for the reply's, i have a xbox 360 but my i don't have a dongle for my wireless pad and the plug and play kit don't work on windows, ill probably go for the xbox pad then.

I use dual shocks for my PS3 and wired Xbox for my PC. The Xbox is much better for use in windows (surprise surprise as a MS controller). Drivers are better, and console ports assume you are using the Xbox pad.
