Left field suggestion - Mass Effect remastered trilogy. Lots of hiding behing things and shooting other things in the face because they looked at you funny. Also GTA 5.
A lot of people have that opinion but haven't tried BP since the early days.
Agree with @smogsy that the missions got boring/repetitive back when I played on release, but I haven't jumped in for quite some time despite hearing how much it's changed.
TD1 overall an excellent game but the cover shooter aspect kind of ends up a bit of a side note with the upgrades and abilities designed to enhance the cover aspect of the game not really being very useful compared to how the game actually plays.
The coop side of multiplayer is pretty decent as well but the PVP I struggled to enjoy as anyone I encountered either wanted me to kill them as quickly as possible so they could get back to their DZ PVE or was cheating to **** able to 1 shot you at any distance with any weapon or rocking a support station which could magically LOL heal them against a 4 man Striker team, etc. etc.
Personally prefer the game mechanics and movement in TD1 - though they messed up the movement in a late game patch compared to how it used to be. Atmosphere and story in general I think nailed it better in TD1 as well.
