Hey.

Apparently my P5N-E SLI has problems with the Quads over like 1350 MHZ. Looking for a decent board to replace it with soon.

Don't need SLI, do need satas - 2 IDE ports would be nice, but not necessary.

Willing to spend around 80 or so - anyone recommend anything?

abit ip35 or asus p5k pro maybe worth looking at for below 80

abit ip35 pro if you need the extra features for above 80

others may be suggested as well

P5K Pro or P5K-C ;)

Got my GO quad to 3.3 gig with only a bump to vcore :) It wouldn't go beyond this though for love or money but still a good result for an £80 board.

Hi :)

Thanks for the replies all.

Do these boards allow very high FSB settings?

So those boards are around the 80 mark, would spending 120 or so buy me a much better board (for overclocking I mean) ?

Have a G0 Q6600 and ReaperX 1000 MHZ RAM just so you guys know.

I have a Gigabyte GA P35 DS3P (basically the same as the DS3(R)) with an E8400, and it will give me an o/c of 4.5GHz....FSB500. :)

You are going to max out with a fsb of 450-465 with a quad anyway. Personally if you are going to spend £120 on a board then i would get a Asus P5E X38 (can be had for £120, i paid that just after launch). I had a Q6600 up to 3.8Ghz prime stable with mine.
