hey guys im possibly swapping my laptop for a desktop pc tonight and i want to know if you think its a goood deal?

i have a dell laptop running a dual core pentium at 2.1ghz with 3gb ram and windows 7.

the pc im gettin for it is a 3ghz core2duo e8400 with 4gb ram hd 4870 gpu in a lian li case with 22inch samsung monitor, wireless keyboard and mouse as well as a logitek gaming mouse.

What do you guys think? am i getting a good deal?

To the OP, no offence intended mate, an im sorry if there was, I am sure after using that laptop of yours you will be very happy with the performance of the pc.

If i was you i would do a clean install as soon as you get it.

I've only recently retired my E8400 and it was a great chip, stick a decent cooler on it and it should overclock well also.

The 4870 is getting a bit long in the tooth but I'm guessing it's way better than the one in the laptop.

Seems like a decent offer if you don't miss the portability
