Hi, I'm looking for a good DI box to record with.
I'll be going into an amp sim; either Guitar Rig 3, or Amplitube 2.
The market seems to be flooded with DI boxes, and there are next to no reviews for any of them.
I dont want an DI box for live use, or to sit after an amp like the Red Box, Just something that I can plug a guitar or bass into and get a great sound.
Budget is about £60 each, I'll probably get two.
Do I even need to spend that much? I just dont want to get a Behringer or something of equally low quality.

I'm dissapointed! I was under the impression OcUK knew everything in the world.
Tut tut chaps... after a whole year of OcUK this is the first time I've been let down. Just kidding... but seriously? Nobody used any good DI's?

We do know everything in the world ;)

There is nothing wrong at all with the Behringer DI boxes. I can vouch for the Behringer DI-20, they are very clean and do a wonderful job of removing earth loop at an amazing price. Granted many of Behringer's products are poor quality but their DI boxes are very very good.

I'd recommend having a look around ebay or cash converters for a native instruments rig kontrol 2. I've seen them around for a decent price, and having had one for about 2 years, I can say they're great quality.

If you're going to be buying amp simulation software, why not get a hardware and software bundle?
