As title says really, i want a good app for downloading lots and lots of files so i can que them up and foget them untill in 5 days or so, groups would be nice too like limewire does, ie. c:\AA for music, c:\BB for apps, etcetc.

I dont want any notification tbh when downloads are done, im really tired of windows minimizing my game when its done downlaoding.

Would like download limit too as in select max dl speed and select max number of active dlds, dont want them accelerators wich search for like 10 sources, i just want a downlaoder that downlaods from 1 point 1 server per download. Very important is it must have NO ads NO wares( spy&ad). Prefferably like utorrent, as few resource usage as possible (cpu&ram).

Oh and finally, must be pausable and resumable even after reboots etc...

I used to use Download Accelerator Plus but have now switched to Free Download Manager. I find it so much better. It's easier to use, less bloated and allows easy configuration of traffic useage so you can easily limit download speeds. You can also schedule downloads in a number of different ways. I highly recommend it.

In regards to mem useage, when i first load it up it uses ~8k but once it settles down it goes down to ~3k and even less when it is minimized. This is compared to my utorrent using up ~8k constantly.

I have been using Free Download Manager for years, it is an excellent app defintely worth using - good for the fact you can scheduele downloads :)

I've used DAP for some time, but according to spybot its filled with spy and adware, and I renember seeing ads in it, unless that's changed i dont want it thanks, ill check out FDM now.

EDIT: Can acceleration be disabled on it, i see on the site it also downloads from multiple sources, but some servers ban people who do this, i just want to download from 1 source 1 server 1 slot per download, is that setable inside the app?
