I need a game (or two/three) to play on my laptop or even netbook.

Needs to be able to run on older machines (Eeepc900) and also be easy to control uing keyboard and mouse pad.

Don't mind old classics as well as anything recent which will run.

Suggestions?

turn based games have never really been my cup of tea... I might give em a go though!

Any more?

Baldur's Gate
Diablo 2
Fallout 1+2
Red Alert 2 (any of the C+C's)
Football managers

Don't know how KOTOR will run with a trackpad, but it's not very demanding, so i'd give that a go.

I play quite a few games on my lapyop. Currently playing through Morrowind.

star was clone campaigns! nothing else you need tbh one of my favourite games to play especially if you can get friend to play with.

also not sure if lotr rise of witch king series will play on your machine but also fun game.

I think some of the suggestions here would be close to impossible to play with a mousePAD, as the OP asked.

Don't think I'd be able to play C&C, Doom or Diablo on a pad.

+1 to Plants vs Zombies for some solo action. Definitely playable on a trackpad.

Also, if you can get a few mates together with laptops, Armagetron Advanced can be a lot of fun to quickly set up and run. Freeware too, which always helps:

Whenever the family gets together we end up with kids dotted all round the house playing this against each other on anything that can find (PCs, laptops, HTPC).

EDIT: Oh, and Worms. Every time I go to my local Game they've got copies of a double pack (Worms 2 & Armageddon maybe?) for £4.99. Definitely worth getting.
