Good Earphones?

Hiya Everybody

Just looking for some new Earphone's for an MP3 Player. Need some assistance on which to purchase. I dont really want to spend more than £30 on any earphones unless it's some kind of Bliss :p

One thing to keep in mind is that im not a big fan of in ear earphones, although I may have to get them as a lot of them are in ear now. :(

Thanks :)

Not quite under £50, but have a look at AKG K240 Studios. Open, clear, detailed and wide soundstage.

What are they to be used with btw?

oooo I got one those babies from around 10 years ago? maybe longer.

they are very very good. i am assuming the newer model (with the same model name) is exactly the same as the original ones. and I paid a hell lot more than £50 back then (if you bring it 2006 prices)

1 of my fav cans.

The original K240s were the 600 ohm K240 'monitors'. The 'studios' are newer and just 55 ohms, so much easier to drive. No reason why you couldn't use these phones with an ipod, unless of course you're looking for something portable, or even earphones. Need to be a bit more specific about what you're after.

I use my AKG K141 Studios (similar to the K240) with my Sony MP3 player just fine and they sound superb.

If you want something portable have a look at the Koss Porta Pro and the AKG K24P. Plenty of other great headphones out there - Sennheiser, Beyerdynamic, Grado etc.

If you're looking for earphones, have a look at Shure E2C and Sennheiser CX300.

I've read that the Sennheiser CX300's have bad bass?
