Good i7 spec?

I currently already have the case, gpu and optical drive just need to know if this spec is ok? I'm looking to overclock the cpu at least past 3.4Ghz+ hopefully even to 3.8GHz, is the motherboard + cpu cooler good enough for this?

I would change the hard drive to a samsung f3 500gb. Faster and cheaper. Also, it's a good motherboard but mabey worth stretching to a ud5?

I'd say that looks about right. You might want to go down to 650W PSU though depending on gpu because the current one is more than you need unless you have something very power hungry. Agreed on the F3 as well.

You could save money buy not getting a new i7,What do you have now?

At the moment its a ddr3 q9550 775 setup.

Ah ok cheers is the f3 much better then? I see its got less cache, will that make a difference?

Cache doesn't make a different if you reasearch. But overall Samsung F3 is much faster
