I just got rid of my broken 125cc and was on the look out for a 400-600cc bike as I am going for full bike license now.

But tonight I took a risk and won a bike on ebay :eek: It looks nice and the guy says it all working no problems so I hope it's all true.

If you asking yourself why would I buy a 600cc now before passing my test? It's because I hope I am getting a nice bike for the price and it stops the money going on other things lol.
 
Cash on collection and will taking someone more knowledgeable then myself.

Also it says returns accepted so if it turns out to be no good I can walk away :)

It was a impulsive bid on ebay and I don't normally do that.

I was after a sports/touring bike I did take take a risk bidding but will take my time on the next on.

I contacted the guy about the pictures I am just waiting on a reply from him.
On his gumtree add is where I got the other pictures from.

I spoken to the guy again and he said that is a old photo he took/used but the other 3 pictures was taken last week.

I guess I will see when I get there :)

I would have viewed it Rossi but it was a last minute thing:cool::eek:

If my mates say walk away when we go see then I will do that no problem and if anything looks out of place will not buy it for sure.

He text me saying he got the paper work for change of speedo at 30k and the 2nd one reading 50k and add the extra from riding.

I know your all saying walk away but I will go have a proper look so I can be 100%
You mite think I am silly but there's no harm in having a closer look.

My mate is coming with me who knows what to look for, and I will ask the seller about the speedo.

@Brackish I do think now I have rushed into something but I am going to sleep on it and talk to my mate tomorrow about what to do.

I will get my mate to look at what you have all said.

The sort of bike I am after is a 400-700cc sports, touring/sports like say the Africa twin type bike.
Cruiser type are a big no no lol, as I just sold my vl 125 and I don't wish to have another cruiser lol.

Max budget so far would be £700ish + bit extra if I was to buy now.

@Dogbreath if I don't get this bike then I am going to do my test first before anything else lol and build the budget to 1k+

Brackish I do like them naked bikes I really like the honda hornet as well. I have about 100 miles pickup range from Luton.

@VoG I am not normally that impulsive I just thought I would take a risk lol.

I could pullout cause the guy never used his own pictures in the auction so I thought that is what I was getting and only because my girlfriend found his gumtree add I got to see the first set of real photos after I have won the auction.

Just seems like a lot stress now lol :(

Talk to my m8 again (gf dad) and going to contact the seller in the morning to let him know I will not be buying the bike based on having the wrong pictures in the auction and what seems to be damage on one of the fairings.
And if anymore more ebay auctions come up I will take my time and look at everything.

I was ebay again a few days ago watching this 1992 Suzuki GSX600F with 45k miles. and if the price was right I would see what happens.

Was ridden 70 miles back home no problem by my mate.
It needs some cosmetic work but I can do that over time.

I really do like and I have to say thanks to you guys for steering me away from the GPZ 600.

Now to get my full test done :D.
