Evening all.....

I will be recieved all the bits to my new PC next week and so have been researching pc building a fair bit.

In a few videos/tutorials people mention doing a test build first to ensure everything works, this consists of building:-
Motherboard,
Ram,
Cpu,
Cpu Cooler,
GPU (if applicable).

How many people do this, it sounds like a good idea to me?

Thanks,
Harry

Well that is 2 votes for just putting it in, any other opinions? :P

Do people still use anti static bands? I haven't seen them mentioned in many tutorials.

Edit: 3 votes.

Cheers for replies.

Don't think i'll bother building out of case then, and I will use the tips about earthing. Does the PSU need to be in the case and connected to mains for it to be earthed (read this in a few tutorials).

Found out the GPU i ordered has been delayed, ARGH, will be atleast another week more waiting time now. :(
