Bought my 8 year old son a 360 for Xmas.

Came with Lego Batman, Lego Indiana Jone 2 & Pure.

Looking for a few titles for him but don't have a clue which are any good? (I'm a bit of a die hard PC gamer)

He likes Platforms, shooters, puzzle games....most really (but i dont think huge on driving ones for some reason - I love em!)

A lot of titles on the 360 seem to be 15 - 18 age ratings, don't want anything that will rot his brain. My wife watched some TV program about how violent games cause kids to have lack on empathy last night & has banned him playing the games he loved (Star Wars Battlefront, Battlefield 2, CS & TF2...blame me!)

Poor kids got nothing to play!

Multiplayer/online games would be good.

Cheers in advance.

I'm crap at platformers but I couldn't be bothered with Kameo. It might be better for your son if he likes platformers though. Banjo kazooie nuts and bolts on the other hand I had fun with and that's something I'd reccomend a kid.
He could try Blue dragon too, it's a traditional JRPG (so very easy to play) and it's very child friendly with the graphics and story. Being a turn based game it's not like he has to pick his moves in 10 seconds either.

Since you mention shooters Halo 3 should be good. It's got a real easy difficulty if you play on easy mode and it's brightly coloured so not as grim as other shooters.

EDIT / Also look into the sega mega drive collection. Tons of good but old games. Still bang for buck it'll keep them distracted and be quite good fun still.

Even though it's meant for adults (;)) Viva Pinata is a fantastic game for kids. If they get stuck you can always hop in with a second controller to give them a hand. It remains one of my top 5 Xbox games.

Up and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs are quite fun kids games with minimal violence :)
