Hi all,

I want to buy some label sheets to print addresses etc.

What is a good piece of software to use to make this job easier?

Thanks

If they are Avery labels then Microsoft Word can print them. From File->New there is a letter label template which prompts you for the label size. If they aren't Avery labels then chances are there is one which matches your size anyway.

I use MS Word for printing labels, it has a lot of the Avery style layout/templates built in (remember a lot of sheets now are based on the avery layout).

If the template isnt built in, you can make your own or (if available) download it from the MS/Avery website)

Yeah, Excel. How you set it up depends on what you want to include on the label, and its size. Just take a cell, or group of cells, adjust to the size of your labels and insert the necessary info, (most labels have the individual label dimensions on the packaging).

But what I dont get is how to set the printer up to print on the unused labels?
i.e what if I print the first 10 labels, how does the printer know that next time it needs to start printing at the 11th position?
