Need to get some as my screens are looking a bit manky. Does anything come recommended? Seen a few labelled as a gel, in the past ive just used a spray that was more water like.

edit: seems iklear is the one to get.

pay attention to the keyword ... "microfibre", I use window cleaning solution, spray onto microfibre and not screen .. don't over do it, i.e. the cloth should NOT be dripping with cleaning solution

I use IPA neat for stubborn bits. But then, I have a lot of it. Rarely needs cleaning, just a once over once a month or so with a microfibre cloth. I have loads of them far better qualituy than those kent ones.

You should never use normal window cleaners on LCD or plasma screens as it can remove the special anti-glare film on some screens

I use a painter and decorators dusting brush, (great for getting into the corners) to remove dust. Any smears/marks, a damp microfibre cloth, then a dry one to polish it up.

... depends ... avoid window cleaner with ammonia ... as quite correctly it will etch AG coating, if your screen has one ...

If the screen is glass I use a small amount of distilled (or de-mineralised) water with Isopropyl alcohol in equal parts. Dampen a microfiber cloth (I use screen shammy from falconsafety) and wipe carefully to clean. Then wait for screen to dry and lightly buff.

If the screen is plastic or glass with an AG coating then don't add the Isopropyl alcohol.

Don't use normal water as it will smear because of the disolved minerals.
