Hi guys,

Whilst waiting for a certain card, I'm looking into upgrading my system's cooling setup.
I have an NZXT H440, Aorus pro x570, 3900x and 4 slots of low profile ram.

Can someone suggest some nice looking AM4 coolers and quality fans for an aesthetic upgrade?
Air coolers only as I don't trust AIO's and big towers are what I am used to.

I've been fine with the stock cooler until now but it can spin up a bit and the extra heat from a 3080 warrants an upgrade to my now degrading case fans (rifle bearing and starting to grind when first powered up).

Edit: Would be useful to include a price, 100 or less for the cooler and 50 for a fan set.

I'm not a fan (no pun) of Ninja SCNJ because it's fans are 800rpm maximum speed. I want my cooler fans to be 1300-1500rpm max speed. Not that tey run that fast in normal use. 2x 800rpm fans will leave hard working CPU 10c higher temp than a single 1000-1100rpm of similar design. Add hot summer day and CPU can easily be throttling i with 2x 800rpm fans instead of being 80c at with 1x 1200-1500rpm fan. Of course case fans have to be supply component fans air within a few degrees of ambient as well. ;)

Scythe Mugen 5 is £42.95

Link below to basic guide of how airflow works and how to optimize case airflow might be of interest.

Did you choose a cooler? I've currently got the same question in a separate post, but I found this because I have the same case as you. I was looking at the Brocken 3 black edition but unsure if it will fit the H440.

H440 has a max CPU Cooler height of 180mm the brochen 3 will fit.

Thanks. Do you know offhand if it would fit the black edition? Or does that depend on other components? Quite new to this so any answer appreciated.
Black edition will fit it just has an extra fan on the back and the obvious black color :D

Awesome cooler, great value and very quiet im a big fan of Alphenon.

Exactly the issue pointed at GN regarding the low speed fans. Better something faster but that can be slowed than something that can't go faster if needed.

I would recommend either the Dark Rock Pro 4, if fits. My 3900x never goes over 60C, but I'm using the Arctic Freezer II 360, which you can't fit. Also the airflow of your case would be a challenge. I would strongly advise/recommend the Arctic P12 fans to help minimize that, as intake fans.

I lost track of this thread but yeah, I purchased a Corsair A500 when OCUK had them for £30 on black Friday.
Not the best cooler, I knew that before buying but the price was on point and it is a very aesthetic cooler.

I'm running a custom fan profile to keep the CPU at <60c with decent noise levels.
