Perhaps not the right place to post this but here goes...

Can anyone recommend a decent PC magazine that offers decent reviews of relevant hardware (desktop and server), useful software and new technologies?

It's been so long since I brought one and I'm just looking for something that'll bring me a bit more up to date with the industry, since our little one came along a few years ago i've not really had a lot of time to read or do anything much :D

thanks in advance.

I used to enjoy reading PC Pro years ago which covered the sort of subjects your looking at, but I've no idea what it's like these days or even if it's still published since as others have pointed out the internet does all this and more these days.

I used to read Custom PC but in recent times it seems to have taken a bit of a nosedive in terms of quality. Mainly full of adverts now and articles that can be found on its sister website: Bit-Tech.

bit-tech's a site I already frequent in fact I was toying with the 3 issues for £1 Custom PC offer they have at the moment but the general jist im getting is online's the way to go... That's a bit of a shame really :( lol

I'm still with Computer Shopper, keep meaning to cancel for the past 2 years!!!

Pretty much read all the reviews online and by the time the mag comes I have already seen it.

+1 for PC Pro. You can get quite a good discount if you subscribe.

Also they are doing an offer atm where you get 3 issues for £1.
Why not give it a try and see if you like it: www.pcpro.co.uk/Subscribe

There are'nt any. They are all crap and a month out of date. I used to subscribe to PC Pro, Computer Buyer, Computer Shopper and Custom PC. Dodgy articles, dodgy reviews and heavily biased towards certain manufacturers. Best to read up online from tech sites as you get the news as and when it happens and not a month later.
