Definitely Wahaca! I'd go to the branch in Soho though (Wardour st.) as it has a bar downstairs where you can wait for your table. The CG one doesnt and you end up standing on the stairs like a lemon for 45mins. The CG one is also a bit busier due to the tourist factor.Wahaca
Another vote for Cafe Pacifico. My vote goes to Cafe Pacifico. I remember accidentally discovering it one cold November evening, whilst trying to find my way to Seven Dials, and found myself in the midst of a massive Day of the Dead celebration.
Many margaritas, nachos and tacos later, I emerged into the Covent Garden night feeling extremely chuffed I'd found such an amazing little restaurant by accident. A lot has probably changed since then, but I'd give it another go in a heartbeat.

also Las Iguanas is a good restaurant !
Totally disagree. Unless it's changed vastly since I was last there, cafe pacifico is great, but its still your bog standard tex mex. Wahaca as far as I believe (not having been to Mexico, mind) is far closer to true Mexican food. Yes, its layout and 'street food' vibe makes it more akin to wagamama than a true 'restaurant'.. but that's just aesthetics tbh..Wahaca is to good Mexican what Wagamamas is to good Japanese. It's more fast food/quick lunch than a decent restaurant.
Go to chipotle for a burrito! More fast food than restaurant, but still so tasty. Used to eat there all the time in the states

Wahacas food tastes nothing like your generic tex mex; its miles better.
Yay, another convert! On the recommendation of this thread I went to Wahaca (Stratford) last night... Was delicious - Both my partner and I enjoyed the whole experience (including the layout, etc). Ended up getting five different 'street foods' and the sweet potato side (yum!). A few beers and dessert to share... Lovely! Would definitely go again... However, I'm also keen to try out Cafe Pacifico as the other recommendation here.
