Anyone else?

Its Friday, sun is shining. Weather on the weekend is looking good, particularly Sunday which looks banging.

Covid restrictions easing.

Gonna hit some PUBG tomorrow morning with my 2 brothers, probably till about half 11/midday, then take the Mrs and kids out, Mrs want to go shopping. Might hit some KFC on the way, drop the mrs off shopping and I'll take the kids to a park or something.

Get home hopefully early afternoon maybe 4pm. Get in the garden put on some Guns n Roses or similar and drink bourbon whiskey. Get the BBQ out I have a couple of huge rump steaks I got from the butcher today to whack on that.

Sunday probably drive to Wells (North Norfolk) and spend the day on the beach.

I got lucky with OCUK's voucher scheme today so 3070 on the way, cant wait.

Its been a misrable bloody year so far, lockdown, **** weather, nothing but work and the same weekend over, and over.

But today for the first time in a while I feel like everything is getting better.

Good man!
I have had my jabs a few weeks ago. My dear wife had hers about two weeks ago. We have had very good weather/a little too warm. Cut the grass despite that. Walked the dogs early in the day. Just all good......................

I'm with you, today was a good day - 4 months into a new job and I got a mention in the company meeting for making a real difference.

This weekend is a meal with the whole family for the first time in months, great weather, and even though it might take another month or so we might slowly be getting back to some sort of normality. :)

Weather wasn't up to much but my youngest is down from London and we had a nice walk to Rough tor then Brown willy, then a bbq back at home, on netflix now
Yorkshire next week to see folks but may get sun and surf Saturday and Sunday

Yeah, feeling pretty good. Started a new job a couple of weeks ago: It's been good so far- stressful in a good way, challenging.

And I just bought a car. Just something cheap to replace an old Polo I gave away in the autumn but, having planned on getting something really boring, my wife prompted me to go for something a bit more fun, so I bought an Audi A4 Cabriolet! can't say I'd ever been super into the idea of a convertible, but it's pretty cool for such a cheap car (£3,400). Just got it home an hour or two ago. The kids seem to like it, which is handy as only 2-doors is going to be annoying for them :D

I’m glad you got a card. I get the feeling that’s where your good mood is coming from mostly :D

Happy gaming

[..]Might hit some KFC on the way [..]

Are you thinking of robbing a KFC outlet or is this some weird fetish about punching a bucket full of a specific brand of fried chicken?

In my case...comfy chair, good audiobook, several days off work, no money worries, a bottle of beer, dozens of games to play if I want to, nothing I have to do. Lovely.

I didn't know about the graphics card thing. I'd already written off getting a new graphics card for at least another year. No big deal - my golden sample 1070 Ti (it outperforms a stock 1080) will continue to do well enough for a while. I game at 2560x1440 and my monitor is limited to 75Hz and I tend to play older games anyway. I was intending to get a 3070, maybe a 3080 if the price was OK, but it doesn't really matter. In the words of the great philosopher Bobby McFerrin: don't worry, be happy.
