Good Motoring Films

Has the film with the guy driving from New York to LA in a ridiculous time in a stealth M5 been released yet? My google skills are failing spectacularly.

Okay, found what I'm talking about, there is talk of a documentary film, can't find much though.

The original US express run in 1983 is being made into a film called '32 hours 7 minutes', that still isn't out :(.

Forgot Cannonball Run. Which one was it where he skips the Lambo over the lake, 3?

Cannonball Fever (3), The granddad watching him skip the Lambo across the lake was Lee Van Cleaf who played the bad dude in the good the bad and the ugly. Just thought that random info may enrich your lives ^^

Initial D is pretty good, it's completely what Fast and Furious tried and failed to be :)

Also Jackie Chan film called Thunderbolt, well worth a watch.

Watch the live action film before watching the anime otherwise it ruins the film a bit. I didn't like how Bunta is portrayed in the film really. Still worth a watch though, so much better than Tokyo Drift.

Have to agree with that. Love the anime series :) It is quite often the case that anime>film is never quite right.

I'd recommend the other way around, the film is more or less a hommage to the anime. But I agree that Bunta came off badly in the film tho, i preferred him as the understated quiet guy in the anime.

I'm not sure, as I found I was getting quite annoyed with certain parts to it. Plus it just seemed odd it being Chinese too after hearing all the anime in Japanese.

Now if only I could afford to have a Hachi-Roku with a 20v blacktop 4A-GE... :D
