Good mouse for fabric surface perhaps?

I'm sorted on the keyboard side with a DiNovo Edge (really awesome by the way, I thoroughly recommend paying the high price for one) so I'm just looking for a good mouse. It would be used on my sofa arm rest as fits naturally there posture-wise and is a flat surface. Are there any decent mice that works well on fabric, or would I have to worry about wearing away the fabric over time?

This is the surface in question;

I could look into getting a decent mousemat if fabric proves to be tricky.
Recommendations for both would be much appreciated especially from those who game in a similar way

Why not buy a mouse mat and put it on the arm rest when ever you use it?

Logitech Anywhere MX will work fine on that surface, but as above I'd recommend just finding a mouse mat to go on the surface.

Any good mouse will work fine on that surface, but you're far better just buying a mousemat to sit on top.
