I have went the furthest that ccc would let me and set the fan speed to 60% manualy and put the gpu clock to 960Mhz and mem to 1445Mhz and tested it with furmark stabilty left it on for a few minutes and it maxed at 64 C and then ran the bench whitch was like max 54 C or somthing and started with a score of 1100 or somthing and ended up with 1308:D

This is my first ever time oc,ing and just want to know if this is ok and it wont damage my card runnign it at this speed all of te time :D

64*C is a good temp for an overclocked card so no worries. My HD4870 used to run at this temp on idle and its still working after 8 months:D And you have your 2 year warranty so just chill and enjoy.:D Also you should try to oc your Q6600 because it would be a shame not to.And happy new year.

sorry to thread steal although it is related to the clock
is it not bad to get the GPU and mem clocks unbalanced or am i talking complete an utter rubbish

Run crysis and have your bubble burst lol. when i got my 4890 first time, i clocked it insanely too and it worked fine on all games until i ran crysis. within seconds, it crashed lol. i've given up on overclocking all together, so long as it runs my stuff fine, i just let it be.

although to add to the topic its quite impressive that you were able to run furmark with that overclock without it crashing etc.
