Good overclock for X2 4600

Just wondering if my overclock of 2.812 Ghz is a reasonable overclock on stock cooling. i think i need better ram as i am only using pc3200 atm. would a bigger heatsink like one of those Themaltake 120s make much of a difference?

thats a decent clock yea,

Ram makes no difference, pc3200 will do just fine. keep it at that on a divider.

i think 2.8 region is great because mine refuses to go 1mhz above 2.85, fir that reason i keep it at 2.8 (2808mhz)

What are the temps like with stock cooling, and did you get the dual core heatpipe stock cooler

thats a good overclock. im on 2.65 at the moment (240x11) at 1.5v. i am after 2,75ghz (250x11) but cant seem to get stable. I have tried extra voltage (1.6) but do not know how far to push it on stockcooler with artic silver

I would not be putting 1.6v through it using the stock cooler mate :eek:

i think i hit a brickwall with my 4600+. it is now passing 3dmarks etc at 1.45v at 2.65ghz but isnt happy over 2.7 :mad:

was hoping for a 2.75ghz clockon this one
