You're looking at your CPU NB.
And that's nothing to write home about, my 1055T did 3.2GHZ.

Well, i7 only officially supports 1066MHZ.
AM3 IMC's only support 1333MHZ officially. Except Thuban ran 1600MHZ kits fine.

What stress testing did you do?

yes, but dont mostAM3 bored allow to choice a option of 800Mhz for the DRAM, witch would equal to 1600Mhz on the RAM

8 multiplier's an option yes.
To get higher you have to raise bus speed,

Didnt know that about i7, and i thought the AM3 IMC was poor

but yes its hard to go much above 1600Mhz with AM3 CPU's. As martini has pointed out though you dont need to worry, as you can just use the multiplier to overclock your CPU, and leave your RAM at its rated speed.
