Just wanted to share that their are some decent folk in this world! :)

Left my work laptop on a train last night and today I am bombarded with phone calls from various contacts etc :o

Turns out some kind sole picked it up and took it home (not trusting lost property apparently!). They have then called up the numbers on a few business cards and my work timesheet from my agency trying to track me down, amusing that all those details were in their but not my phone number :D

Anyhow have spoken to the bloke who will hand it back to me tomorrow am - bonus :cool:

Might have to get him a few beers!
 
Conversely, I 'lost' my phone yesterday and managed to track it via google latitude to the local council estate in my town. Every time I called it, they cancelled the call. Luckily for them the GPS wouldn't turn on remotely else I'd be all over their doorstep like a tramp on a bag of chips.

Anyway the police are now dealing with it, and orange have sent me a new one :)
 
You wouldn't think a flat fish would have the dexterity or strength to carry a laptop, let alone the intelligence to track down your colleagues' contact details and make calls.

There are still lots of honest people around despite what some of the media would have you believe.

You’ll definitely have to buy him a drink or a small thank you.
 
the guy probably stole it in the first place, now is is using it to lure you to a secluded location where he will murder you....
