Good place to buy a sofa?

How deep are your pockets? We went Loaf but recently swapped it out for an M&S. They've since stopped doing big furnishings afaik so John Lewis would be next in line.

Nothing inherently wrong with scs, sofology or DFS. Just know what you're buying as they are aimed at mass market/uninformed.

Nowt wrong with Sofology. I've had two sofa's from them, my parents have one from them. Always really good service whenever I've used them, lots of choice and nice quality. Certainly wouldn't be one to avoid based on my interactions with them.

Probably max to spend is £4k but less is good!

I was looking at John Lewis, they've got a couple I like so will check them out.
They're sold by:

Although I don't have personal experience of the quality.
Like the look of those but a bit too expensive, one of them says from £3k and when you click it the price for the one shown is £9k

I'll have a look at them, I had dismissed them as I read a few horror stories but you'll get that anywhere.

Sofology are terrible quality, mines falling apart after only a few years. Base has gone on one and the arms are starting to become loose on both.

Just down the road from me, best quality there is.

Those are glorious, I wouldn't want anyone to touch it :p

Stoker's of Chester
I'll check them out, from a quick look they deliver via their website but I'd rather go in person.

Never had that oh dear. I stand by my findings though, been spot on for myself and others I know. Sorry to hear though, that's shocking.

Yeah and they wiggled out of fixing them because they said we were using it in a way not designed for.
Lying down on it rather than sitting. I had a look inside from the bottom and it's really cheaply put together.

Who doesn't lie or snuggle into a corner on their sofa! I start up in a sitting position but by end of the night I'm usually horizontal.

Did it have built in camera and they spied on you?
No I said that's what I did and they said that's not what it's designed for. The wife stopped me before I started shouting at that point and I left the store. Gave up. Making do until we relocate the room and will replace them then. To be fair for the price you probably get what you pay for, fine if you want something new every few years, I want the things to last half a life time so it'll be Saxons next time.

What I'd give for a Loaf sofa. But with a cat, dog, toddler and lets be real... myself, I feel it would just be ******* money up the wall.

So we got a 2x3 corner sofa “Mazzini” (not in the store now) from sofology.

The sofa itself is first rate.

Sofology order to delivery - chaotic and slightly late.
Sofology delivery & install - good, although we had to take the front door off to get the sofa sections through!
