Anyone got a good place to buy amiga titles?, I've looked on EBAY but i've not come across what I need :(, got an amiga coming next week so..

Deuteros
Dragons Breath

Well emulation is in the rules, so I can't really talk about it.

Although if you already own kickstart original disc it should not be a problem I think it still has copyright so you would need to buy it for PC Emulation, and I think majority of games come under shareware anyway - google >> Amiga Shareware

Other than that, probally find games on eBay seen as you are using an Amiga.

I have the original boxed Deuteros plus many other rare original boxed Amiga games but sorry not selling any of them ever (still have the Readysoft Dragons Lair/Space Ace as well as all the best Cinemaware Amiga games)!

Millenium 2.2 is also excellent & well worth checking out (game before Deuteros). Make sure you buy a cartridge 1:1 copier to backup the originals otherwise you may find they stop working as Amiga drives go out of alignment after a while & some games need the game disk to save data so everytime that gets written to is a risk to the original media. As a rough guide most Amiga games which come with HD installers can be backed up easily using Workbench otherwise you need to buy a now expensive/rare external solution to preserve the original media.

Charity shop crawling really. Carboots can also be good, it all depends.
Trouble is though, you'll find that at least 50% of the original floppies are either dead or dying fast.
I tend to buy stuff like this just for the boxes and use a downloaded copy on fresh floppies :)

Been begging my dad to get his old Amiga down from the loft for about 5 years so we can just get drunk and play Llamatron till the early hours! :(

If I known you was looking Neil79 I could have sorted you an amiga out I sold 11 * amiga 500s and 2 * 1200s & 2 * 600s just recently I love em :D

I'm going to be buying mine for £35 :), going to see it next week before I put my money down!

Can't believe people are selling moonstone on the bay for £200!

I've got an A1200 with 8MB Fast Ram and 60 MB HDD up in the loft.

I know we don't talk about it, but emulation is the way. There's the official, legal distribution from amigaforever. I have bought this is it works well.

It's great seeing all the different 'Workbenches' from the years.

Good luck with the search.

Moonstone is (IMO) the best game on Amiga.

I managed just once to get all 4 keys to the valley of the gods, I defeated the end boss aswell. She was dieing and I got a nice Guru mediation error.

Llamatron was an awesome game, along with defender, mavity well and pharaohs curse. What am I talking about, a lot of Amiga games were awesome

arent most of them abandonware ? download and stick them on a disk?

1: How will you download them on an Amiga?
2: If you download them on a PC, how will you transfer them to an 880k disk?

;)

Good on you for getting an Amiga - I got my AmigaOne X1000 delivered a month ago - it's awesome :-)

The Amiga was awesome. It had the most variety of genres. Games to suit almost everyone.

Non of this modern rubbish where everything has to be a 3rd/1st person shooter :P
