In summer. There will be 5-6 of us. All 26/27 years old. Beach holiday preferred but city break is good too. Long weekend would be ideal duration.

Considering:
Albania – does anyone go on holiday here? No idea whether it would be good for group of lads.
Poland
Lithiania
Lativa
Estonia
Ukraine
Croatia - this is probably a decent bet for value/beaches?
Any other ex-Soviet type place…

???

Went to Sunny Beach a couple of years ago and Albufeira last year. They were good because we went week after the peak season so it wasn’t full of the crowd you see on the ‘what happens in..’ TV programs.
If none of the above would be as good as say, Greece or Cyrus (financial problems = cheaper now?) then we would be happy sticking to the usual places.

A few of the lads will be wanting to chase tail so nothing too mature please :p

I'd advise going to one of the "typical" "lad's holiday" places, and leave the "alternative" destinations for those of us who want a nice quiet peaceful holiday without being surround by a pack of animals on heat.

Thanks.

Straight to the point of the thread :D

You see, if you were looking a decent holiday, seeing some sights i would recommend poland as there are some interesting ww2 sights you can see like Auschwitz. Krakow in general is also good however if your wanting to do this

Seeing where 1 million people died.....isn't a massive turn on. your probably best trying croatia, there are some sights you can see such as the pula arena and diocletians palace. and there is the beaches and bars for all the bird pulling you can dream of :D

"Alternative lads go on holiday"

So edgy.

Guess you're a bunch of skinny, jack wills wearing poncy types then? Magaluf or somewhere should do you fine.

Budapest is a great city with plenty of nightlife and some amazing girls if you're into breasts. Don't think I've ever been there without girls buying me free drinks. Then there's the thermal baths to help you with your hang over in the morning.

Split in Croatia is also good fun. Small, but nice. The girls are hot, and many of the ones in Bacevice will happily be approached by foreigners. They tend to be a bit younger than the girls in Budapest though. When I was there in 2008 I met a few from the national cheering squad. Suffice to say I've been back a few times since ;-)

No

It's 'alternative' lads holiday. Not 'alternative lads' holiday. Difference is in the detail. By that I mean, we don't want somewhere where we will be surrounded by vest wearing 18 year olds. We're a bit too old for all that.

Go to Tallinn (Estonia) Its a fantastic place imo. Not to sure about beaches, but it was extremely cheap when I went there a couple of years ago and the people there were really nice. Food was also really good.

Latvia is exceptional, I go to Riga quite often :) But it is really expensive there, that said they are now on Euroes there rather than LVL now. I've not been since they swapped over so not sure what the Euro has done to the cost of things. But I imagine it will still be extremely expensive. I've met quite a lot of english "stag" dos and what not in Riga so seems a popular place to go. That said I tend to ignore a lot of the "normal" english crowd in Riga because I am there working so I am no tourist :p

Something different then?

Buy an ancient minibus and go on a road trip around eastern europe.

I thought Prague was crap when I went, I was over there on business but I went out drinking every night (as one does when the company is paying) and it was rubbish.
