Okay guys for the following Components;

Athlon 64 3000+ Winchester with Freezer 64
Gigabyte NF4 K8NF-9 Mobo
Geil PC3200 Dual Channel Ram, 4x512mb (2Gb)
GeForce 7300LE 256 Meg, MSI
LG Super Multi DVD-RW 8x (Slightly faulty, works only at 2x on DVD-R now :|)
400W Winpower Power Supply (Going to reccomend he buys a better one)
Sunbeam Samurai Gaming ATX Case

Am I being reasonable in selling this to my friend for 200 pounds?

It's about 2 years old, well the Graphics card isn't that's about 2 months old :]

Putting this 200 pounds towards my new gaming PC that I'll be ordering in about 2 weeks as my xmas present ^_^

I'd say you're pushing it.

The writer's not working properly, the 939 socket is not upgradeable. The 7300le is a poor card.

The ram is a fine but if it's a mate then £150 max

I'd say it depends on what it's being used for. If he doesn't intend any real gaming (and he'd better not with a 7300LE :)), then I'd say it's reasonably fair. Realistically, if he's someone who knows nothing about IT, he'll call you a few times with queries on it, so that'd make up any differential.

Make sure that you're upfront about the issues with it - i.e. DVD drive / PSU / weak Gfx card

Yeah told him the GFX card is not that good, so he should look to upgrade that, and I told him the DVD drive is not quite fully operational, but he said he will stick his own ones in it, but he'll have it if I don't want it.

He's pretty "know how" on PC's and my PC is a big upgrade for him at least, he mainly games on his 360 however and said if he plans to game he'll just upgrade the GPU, because the rest of the system is pretty decent for current games still :)

Sockets not but the CPU is.. That will run 939 X2s.

I think £200 is a fair price
