Hi,

I'm going to be searching a second hand bidding site for a cheap intel processor to work my next build around.

will use it for heavy gaming, recording, encoding.

Any good ones I should look out for on ebay that may turn up cheaply?

Looking for i5 or i7

Sorry about the competitor name, I thought that since it wasn't a link it didn't matter. I've edited my post and changed how I said it :)

I think that if i'm going to save up a bit, may as well save a bit more and get an i7.

Would someone mind speccing me a decent i7+ mobo selection and a decent i5+mobo?

Just would like to know the difference in price.

thanks

What motherboard features are you needing?

For example:
- how many SATA ports (and particularly SATA6 ports) do you need?
- how many USB3 ports do you need?
- Do you want a board that is OK at overclocking or amazing?
- How many PCIE ports do you need?
- Do you plan on running two or more graphics cards in SLI/CF?
- Do you need any PCI ports for older devices?

1) Not to many really, any mobo should have enough. (I'm only using 2 at the moment)
2) My case has 2 front panel usb 3, so will need to be able to use them.
3) Ok at overclocking (unless having one thats amazing at overclocking is not too much more)
4) 2+
5) It's something I would like, just encase.
6) No I do not
