good programmes....

hey ive been looking round a few sites lately trying to keep my pc up to scratch withought going through the painstaking task of reformatting my hdd every 6 months ..... and i found a few programmes (the obvious will be stated)



Ad-Aware SE Personal
Advanced WindowsCare
AVG Free
CCleaner
EasyUninstaller.exe
Spybot - Search & Destroy
TweakNow RegCleaner Std

all of these are free and i was woundering is there any other better or other programmes that will help and increase the speed of my machine to a lovely new formated machine (without the formatting)...i have looked at the sticky and follwed the "streamlining" teniques so anything else.... ?

uninstall all the crap on your machine you don't need. Tool bars, systray icons etc


disable as many services as you can.

Create a new user account, so it is fresh and has clean default settings., then delete your old account (after transferring accross all your data obviously
