I've got a sammy 23" at the mo and it's a good screen but it lacks any height adjustment. I'd like to upgrade to a 1920x1200 24" with height adjustment - this is important for me. I love the look of the Dell Ultra 24" but for my needs its probably overkill plus it's damn right expensive. I do a mixture of things on it, gaming, photo editing/web stuff/iplayer and plenty of word documents.

I just got a Dell U2311h 23' IPS. It's got pivot/swivel/tilt and hight adjustment. It's got a high quality screen.

If you don't mind staying at 23' it could be right up your street.

Ta for the reply. I've just had a look at that one - it's everything I want apart from the resolution. I do like the height adjustment though - do you think it would be much of an improvement over my Samsung 2333?

The HP ZR24w sounds like it has the features you are looking for.

It is a 24in E-IPS monitor, 16:10 aspect, 1920x1200 resolution and the stand is pretty good. This review shows the range of movement (including the height adjustment range) and how the screen performs as a whole.

if you can why dont you put a bracket on the wall so you can have it heigher like this...

i found this to be the best option then looking for a monitor which has everything i need in term's of what you need...

bracket only cost me £15 and the monitor was £130

looks so much better than having it on a stand in my eye's.

I like the look of that HP - I'll do some more research thanks very much. The bracket is also a neat idea but it would set my panel so far back I wouldn't be very comfortable using it for prolonged periods. I fancy an upgrade :) Actually I forget you can get adjustable brackets too. :)

Not sure if getting a new monitor just to be able to adjust the height is a good solution.

I had the same issue and noticed Khaan's desk mount and thought that was a great idea. I picked up this Egotron for my home office and was so impressed I bought another for my desk at work too.

I would have liked it to raise a little higher than 13" but in all honesty I'd say the maximum height is just perfect (and I'm a tall lad).

I held off as long as I could and now I've taken the plunge.

The desk mount in Kahn's picture is the best looking around but I did a bit of research and found that it doesn't really allow you to raise the screen too much. So instead I went for the Ergotron LX, at same price and looks like it'll work perfectly but it isn't as discrete in design.

I can't wait.

Here's a review of it too... it's exactly the same as this reviewed stand only without the laptop arm.

That's very nice! But how much did it cost you if you don't mind me asking? Looks to be about £120 or so plus shipping plus customs? That's an expensive desk mount. I'd be more than half way towards an upgraded screen with that. It's not *just* the height adjustment I'm after - I miss the extra pixels. But that does look very nice all the same. Definitely curious now!

I'm not sure how much they retail for in UK but I'm pretty sure Khaaan paid 83 quid for his. I picked mine up for $115 in US which converts to around the same.

I see what you mean about the price against getting a new screen. My home office has a 22" which is splendid but when I was shopping for a monitor at work I found a 23.6" that was extremely cheap for the quality of the product. I have to say that my 22" is a little longer but feels cramped in comparison.

I still think I'd get the mount. It's one of those items that you purchase with a little hesitation but then the second you install it up to months and months later you'll be very secure in the fact that it was an excellent purchase. The amount of space it frees up below, as well as the ability to sit in ANY position and not strain my neck/nback/eyes... absolutely fantastic!!
