Hi guys

I need summit that has a few cool tricks in it but on the flip side is easy for the missus to whip out and start snapping away when the kids are playing and getting up to their ususal tricks? :)

Anything spring to mind, or a make and model in that range, who should I steer clear of and who not too?

Cheers ;)

I keep recommending the Canon ones, I can't remember which model (Powershot something) my Mum has, but she uses it and I'm happy enough using it now and again.

Just got a panasonic fx2 for £180. Lots of options to play around with including RAW mode, and pictures can be very nice. Automode defaults to pretty high ISO levels, and low ligh performance isn't very good though.

I'm going to be getting a camera for my parents soon and will probably get a fuji f31 over the panasonic, as it works better as a simple point and shoot solution, and will get nicer results without faffing around with the settings.
