OK - mad marketing department has come up with a plan to move away from our current .com domain and market around a .tv domain name we own.
Now I've thrown in the basic arguments.
1. .com is considered the defacto domain extension, sure market a .tv but don't move the main corporate site or email from the .com
2. Find me 10 well known companies that have marketed around a .tv domain
3. .tv is currently 10 years into a 12 year lease. After such time the small island that owns .tv could stop leasing the domain name out. We all remember the uk.co fiasco
Can anyone think of any other good arguments (I say good as they would need to go into a counter document) for not using a .tv domain?
Thanks.
