I currently cycle to work 5-6 times a week around 60-80 miles dependant on route I take and sometimes cycle on weekends.I cycle on road/gravel terrain as I often go down the canal paths.I been looking at Allez/Diverge/CAAD/Defy models but no idea what to go for, any suggestions?

Cheers!

That's quite a range of bikes really. Allez/CAAD are relatively race focused. Diverge is probably most suited for gravel out of the lot. Defy is fairly relaxed/sportive geometry - good starter road bike but probably doesn't have the best of tyre clearances for gravel and not best for fitting nice mudguards.

Also take a look at the likes of the Pinnacle Arkose and other cyclocross oriented bikes or "Adventure"/"Gravel".

To be fair I could always cycle the road route anyway as with an Allez for example it should be a fair bit quicker than my FSR XC Comp 2008 model?

Otherwise I am thinking of the Diverge A1 2017 model which is a very good bike no?
